Water Day Festival | Video
Stephanie Summers
7/29/2010
Most people are happy to turn on their faucet and see water come out of the tap. But do you ever wonder about the distance the water takes to get to your sink?

Water groups from around North Dakota are at the State Fair to engage the public about water issues across the state. They are here to educate you on how water works, and they even had trivia games to help people learn.

"There are so many critical issues across the state from drought, to flooding, to water supply, to drinking water. It’s just really important for them to know all the issues so that we can get support for the projects," said Angela Magstadt, editor of North Dakota Water Magazine.

Water Day Festival also gave away free snow cones on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
