| The Farm and Ranch Guide Country Woman of the Year was announced Friday. Six women from around the state were nominated for this year`s award. They came from everywhere including Manning, Belfield and Des Lacs. But it was Brenda Boucher from Rolette who took home this year`s award. Brenda works with her husband Dan on the family farm, raises three children, runs a catering business, and volunteers for the community and her church. “The women are finally being appreciated. The men can’t do it by themselves, plain and simple. The women are finally getting the recognition they need,” says Boucher. Along with the title of Country Woman of the Year, Brenda was also given a pink lawn mower. |
