Minot Police Chief Retiring

| 4/10/2012

Last year`s flood has claimed another "victim," of sorts. Police Chief Jeff Balentine says the disaster "drained him," and he wants to get out of law enforcement.

He retires Friday after 31 years with the Minot Police Department.

Balentine has had inquiries from companies to do security work in the oil patch, but he`s not interested. He plans to look for a part-time job that will enable him to travel.
