Fox and Midcontinent Still Negotiating | Video

Fox in Bismarck says it`s closer to a deal with Midcontinent than it was yesterday, but the two parties still haven`t signed on the bottom line. KNDX and KXND have been negotiating with Midcontinent over how much the cable company will pay them as part of a retransmission agreement.

As a result, the Fox stations have been off the air since April 8.

This morning, Midcontinent sent an email to subscribers outlining several issues that were causing problems in the negotiation.

But KNDX says the facts are not accurate.

"They`re mischaracterizing the fee. Because of the dollars involved now, the fees that involve us have to be sent on to our respective affiliate broadcast networks. They`re mischaracterizing the fee. We`re not asking anything remotely close to that as a television station," said General Manager and Owner Gary O`Halloran.
