With more people moving to Minot and some even moving back into their flood homes, firework stores, like North 83 Fireworks in Minot, have seen an increase in customers this Fourth of July.

It doesn`t matter if it`s sparklers or bottle rockets, people are buying a little bit of everything. While fireworks are only permitted outside of the city limits, people continue to purchase fireworks.

At North 83 Fireworks, they`ve seen a 15 percent increase in business from last year.

"People come in with different laws or can`t light off fireworks or they`re not allowed to," said owner Rick Vondal. "And, so they`re really excited this year too because there is a lot of out of state people that have been coming in this year."

If you`re planning to shoot off your own firework display, Vondal encourages customers to be safe when using fireworks.

He recommends always having water around, not shooting off fireworks in grassy areas, making stands for the fireworks and keeping a close eye on small children.

You have until Thursday to purchase fireworks in North Dakota.
