Applefest | Video

Alex Hagan | 9/22/2012

Many people made their way over to Bismarck`s historic Buckstop Junction after the parade. Residents celebrated the sixth annual Applefest, which featured different vendors along with an apple pie eating concert and local musicians.

All proceeds from the event go to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation to help regional patients throughout their cancer journeys.

"The foundation serves to assist cancer patients with other needs like counseling, physical therapy or dietician. Things that aren`t around by insurance so the foundation exists to raise money for those services for our patients and Applefest is one of great events that we put in to help raise money for the foundation," said Bismarck Cancer Center Marketing Director Sara Kelsch.

If you missed the festival today, it`s not too late. Applefest is going on tomorrow from 11:00 to 4:00.
