Cold Day for Sledding | Video

Joel Porter | 11/11/2012

The snow has let up for the day, and plenty of families dug out their cars and trucks Sunday morning, dusted off the sleds and headed for the hill at Tom O`Leary golf course.

Just two weeks ago, golfers were playing their last rounds of the season on the course.

Today, young sledders and snowboarders made a few trips up and down the hill.

With nine inches of fresh snow on the ground, those on the hill also braved some bitter windchills on Sunday.

"I already flipped like five times, but there`s enough snow that you can`t hurt yourself so much," 8th grader Shane Buehner said.

"You don`t really think about it until you`re done and your legs hurt and you just come up here and sit down for a second and then just get whiplashed by the snow and your face just starts burning," 8th grader Brandis Dvorak said.

Bismarck received another round of light snow on Sunday evening.
