Trinity Introduces Sports Medicine App | Video

Sarahbeth Ackerman | 12/6/2012

Trinity Health is introducing some new technology in its medicine. The "Injury Zone Software" app is for concussion management and assessment that can be retrieved by just a touch of a button. This will allow sports trainers to assess a concussion by entering numbers into the system, rather than just listening to their patient and going back to their office to enter the information.

"So it gives us the opportunity to give a base line and then once they receive a concussion, then we are able to input the new information according to how they are feeling at that time because we have the ability to do that at our fingertips," said Robyn Gust, Sports Medicine Coordinator at Trinity Health.

Trinity health has six full time athletic trainers that will be using this new technology to help them do their jobs better and faster.
