Standoff in New Town

An armed standoff is underway in New Town. We were able to confirm that a man was holed up in a house there. Reports say he took hostages at around midnight last night. We`re told he has since released the hostages, but as of now, was still refusing to surrender.

Officials at Mandaree High School have confirmed that they have been in lock-down mode all day long because of the standoff situation.

We have a crew in New Town, and we`ll have more information as it becomes available.
