Lee Timmerman Named ND Sportscaster of the Year

One of KFYR-TV’s own has been recognized by the National Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association. Sports Director Lee Timmerman was named as the organization’s 2012 North Dakota Sportscaster of the Year. He was selected by a vote of his peers. This is the fourth year he has received this honor.

Timmerman has also been picked as ND Sportscaster of the Year by the North Dakota Broadcasters Association four times and has won the Eric Severid Award from the Northwest Broadcast News Association for play-by-play and sports reporting eight times.

His award will be presented by Dan Patrick, the National Sportscaster of the Year, during the NSSA Awards weekend June 8-10 in Salisbury, North Carolina.
