Two Arrested for Forgery | Video

Minot Police say two suspects are behind bars after they tried to cash a forged check. Officers responded to the First International Bank Tuesday afternoon, where the suspects drove up to the drive thru and tried to cash a check that had been altered.

Bank employees stalled the suspects and called police. Minot PD was able to arrest Dustin Strenke and Marian Jasinski in the bank parking lot.

Although they were able to close this fraud case, they have many more to investigate. "We have about a dozen that we have right now that have been reported. We are looking into those and looking to see who is responsible for those incidents," said Captain Dan Strandberg.

Strandberg recommends taking your bills and checks directly to the post office.
