If you`re wondering why we`re wearing red and donning these red pins, it`s because today is Go Red for Women Day! This movement is supported by the American Heart Association. People everywhere are asked to wear red to bring awareness to the number one killer of women: heart disease.

You can get involved by following them on Twitter. Or like their Facebook page where they post success stories and useful links. An example of what they have is this video explaining the warning signs of a stroke. For more information on the campaign, visit www.goredforwomen.org.

Trending locally some people download apps or search the internet on their mobile device to get the good word. Now, all you have to do is log on to Twitter to hear from the Bishop of Bismarck himself! That`s right, Bishop Kagan tweets. You can follow him @vescovoddk.

It`s all part of a movement started by the Pope last December, after he joined Twitter. Bishop Kagan says, regardless of your faith, this should encourage all people of the church to get online.

He says that he enjoys Twitter because it allows him to reach out to young people. "Newer means of technology, really are things that men and women of my age and around my time, we really have to learn this if we want to be able to communicate with the whole spectrum of Catholics and non-Catholics."

Vescovo means “Bishop” in Italian.
