A man who tried to kill himself at the age of 18 survived a jump from a ninth story window. Now Jordan Burnham is sharing his story to help others who battle with depression.

"If you don`t understand depression and you don`t understand why someone would attempt suicide especially if it`s a family member or a friend, I think it gives you a glimpse into the mind of someone who has had a mental disorder. What it`s like for them and going through events and times in their life, like how they internalize it and why someone could get to that point leading up to a suicide attempt."

Burnham will speak at the University of Mary McDowell Activity Center tonight at 7:00. Anyone is welcome.
