Main Street Minute: Cookies For You | Video

When it comes to having a successful small business, it`s all about mixing the right amount of ingredients. "We have people who have hats on and flour on their faces," said Mary Helen Hasby, owner of Cookies for You.

For those employees, that is just their every day attire when they are making their cookie bouquets from scratch.

"I think, that really makes the difference. And I think you can tell the difference when they eat one of our cookies," explains Hasby.

Hasby prides herself on the wide range of homemade sweet treats she`s introduced to the community 21 years ago. She says there are many ingredients that make up a successful business. For her, it was hard work, dedication, and a passion for what she does, every single day.

"I really love to do this. And, everyday, I`m excited about what I can do, what we can make, and send out. Also, I love finding out whose day we can brighten."

Knowing that you are adding that extra bit of frosting to someone’s day, makes being in the cookie business that much sweeter for Hasby.

Cookies for You offer 15 different homemade cookies, including a line of truffles and greeting cards.
