Senate Passes Three Abortion Bills

Jessica Roose | 2/7/2013

This afternoon, the State Senate voted on four abortion bills, and gave the green light for three to continue on. They passed bills that would require that abortions only be performed by a physician who is licensed to practice in the state and another that would give the right to life to every human being at every state of development and put the issue on the November ballot.

The bill that failed dealt with the treatment of embryos relating to in vitro fertilization.
