Monthly Water Bill Increase | VideoRene Thibault | 2/13/2013
Because so many were damaged during the flood, this past month the City Council decided not to put another financial burden on Minot residents.
ďA lot of the homes that are getting replaced now are the flood homes. The meters have to be replaced and all the wiring and everything, and it was just an additional cost for the residents to bear, so we felt a two dollar a month fee would be easier to take than the $140 up front,Ē said Dan Jonasson, the Minot Public Works Director.
The City of Minot will be sending out notices to utility customers about the new change. People can expect to see the increase in their next billing statement.
