A Bismarck woman celebrated her 105th birthday today at the Edgewood Vista & Village Home. Pauline Jaeger was surrounded by family and friends as she celebrated her milestone birthday.

Her family says she`s been very active even in her old age. At 99 she participated in Bismarck`s Snow Angel record, and at 100 she was still tending to her garden. She says the birthday party was a big surprise for her.

"I still remember being a kid on the farm, chasing chickens," she says as she reflected on her long life.

Her son, Harvey Jaeger said, “She’s just had to work very hard all through her life and she just has a very positive attitude. I think that`s what kept her going."

The Governor also issued a proclamation honoring Miss Jaeger`s birthday.
