The exterior design of the state-of-the-art facility is now completely finished. The next step? Figuring out exactly what will go inside.
"Planning process is done, now it`s building it. And getting stuff ready to purchase inside the building, picking out colors, and which turf to put in and what wood floor to buy. So it`s pretty exciting and it`s a fun process. My entire staff has been involved, and we`re just loving it. It`s a lot of work but the fruits of the labor will be pretty exciting."
The relatively mild winter has helped keep construction right on schedule.
"I think if we were to have what Fargo had last week with nine inches of snow and 35 mph winds, we wouldn`t have had walls up. So, knock on wood, we`ve had a great winter so far and let`s hope February and March does the same thing for us,” said Krueger.
When complete, the building will stretch for 600 feet, the equivalent of two football fields. The crane that`s constructing the site is 160 feet long, but that will fit inside the main gym alone. As walls continue to go up, it`s becoming increasingly evident just how huge this building is going to be.
